Around 25 well-known Indian fashion industry talents will showcase their creations, themed around Crafts of India, at the special grand finale show of Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW).
In a bid to celebrate the 25th edition of FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) hosted event, the special show will aim to highlight the richness and heritage of Indian crafts.
“This is the 25th season of the India Fashion Week. What better way to celebrate this momentous occasion and create history by getting 25 designers on the same stage for the grand finale. This is great concept from Amazon India and the resulting execution of the idea will present a unique experience that will set new benchmarks for such events in the future,” FDCI president Sunil Sethi in a press statement said.
Vikas Purohit, head fashion at Amazon India, said, “We have decided to theme the Grand Finale on ‘Crafts of India’ because it resonates with each Indian. And when 25 of India’s most talented and creative minds collaborate together towards a single purpose, it can only result in something spectacularly innovative and creative – a true homage to Indian craftsmanship and a befitting culmination to the Amazon India Fashion Week.”
“Indian craft finds its unique expression in almost every Indian home and runs like an admired and cherished thread through our sensibilities,” he added.
