“Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show 2015 (GTTES) – Focus Asia”, an exclusive event for highlighting strengths of Asian textile engineering industry, will be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from January 20 where about 300 textile companies from abroad are expected to participate in.
Organised by India International Textile Machinery Exhibitions (ITME) society, the three-day event will be attended by representatives from countries like China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, the US and India. Seven companies from Coimbatore are also likely to attend the exhibition, sponsor sources said.‘GTTES 2015’ would be a complementary show to the India ITME series, held once every four years. The event, which is supported by the heavy industries ministry and the Maharashtra textile department will provide a platform to small and medium textile machinery, equipment and component manufacturers to showcase their products.
The objective of GTTES 2015 is not only to showcase technology/machinery but also to address the needs of quality, variety, allied services, especially for small medium enterprises.
The textile expo will have special focus on weaving, garment, knitting & embroidery machineries, non-woven and technical textiles, digital printing and technical information services.
Overseas delegations from Ethiopia, Sudan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korea, Mozambique, Egypt, China, Taiwan and Sri Lanka are expected to visit the event.
