Finally the 59th edition of India International Garment Fair (IIGF) will be held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat, shifting from its old venue in New Delhi.
AEPC Chairman, Ashok Rajani, confirmed the new venue and assured maximum possible subsidy to the exhibitors. The fair will be held concurrently with Textiles India 2017, which will cover the entire textile supply chain, as “The exhibition centre there is world-class.”
Small- and medium-level exporters will also participate in the show in good numbers as there is no other option for them. Though AEPC was of the opinion that this established fair – IIGF – should take place separately and not along with Textiles India 2017, but there was dilemma over hosting two sourcing fairs within 20 days and the government providing funds for both.
