In the six months to September 30, 2016, sales at Indian online fashion retailer ‘Koovs’, a subsidiary of UK based Koovs plc soared 114 per cent from a fiscal ago period to £7.9 million. During the reporting period, website traffic surged 132 per cent year over year to 38.0 million, while the registered base drove up 150 per cent to 1.5 million.
The online fashion retailer said its active customers also expanded steeply by 138 per cent to 431,000 from 181,000 in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
According to the company, investment in the multi-channel marketing programme has further enhanced brand awareness from 8 per cent to 18 per cent, resulting in a massive change in web traffic, registered base, active customers, customer orders, while also more than doubling sales.
Orders through mobiles at the online retailer also climbed to 62 per cent of all transactions, which includes a significant increase of 421 per cent over the same period of prior fiscal, in orders from shoppers using the Koovs App.
