Indian fashion designer, Anita Dongre will be presenting a finale collection featuring handcrafted Rajasthani embroidery at the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort (LFW S/R) 2017 to be held in February first week. A part of the embroidery was done in Jaipur and involves the designer’s signature gota-patti work along with some new detailing.
“Lakmé Fashion Week has been a trend leading platform. It feels great to collaborate with the Lakmé team for the grand finale for the first time. I am excited about the argan oil trend in beauty and look forward to bringing alive the liquid gold theme through my designs. The collection that will bring down the curtains at the LFW S/R 2017 has been inspired by liquid gold/argan oil and foliage of Rajasthan,” Dongre said.
She also said that Rajasthan has a lot of design possibilities and the amount of craft that is seen in the state cannot be seen anywhere else. She has always used Indian craftsmanship and textiles in her collections.
Dongre’s designer wear leaves unforgettable impressions on the world, and yet, is versatile enough to transcend people, places and occasions.
