About 26 lakh people, both from the country and abroad visited and made purchases at the second ‘Hunar Haat’ organised at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi from February 11.
For the first time, in this exhibition very exquisite pieces of Handicraft & Handloom work like Makrana Marble products, Bandhej from Sikar, Mojri from Rajasthan, Banjara Embroidery from Telangana, Cocoon decorated products from Nagaland, Mizoram Traditional Crafts, Kashmiri Pashmina Shawl, among others, were on display.
With the theme ‘Craft Aur Cuisine Ka Sangam’, the 15-day ‘Hunar Haat’ was unique in the sense that it showcased crafts and traditional cuisines brought from different parts of the country.
“The next ‘Hunar Haat’ will be organised at Mumbai soon,” according to organiser sources. It will also be organised at Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Allahabad, Ranchi, Guwahati, Jaipur, Bhopal, among others, to promote master artisans from all corners of the country.
