While addressing the employees of the Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) Chairman Manoj Kumar said India’s national heritage Khadi will soon become the identity of new India at the global level.
Chairman KVIC reiterated the resolve to strengthen dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that roadmap is ready to take the ‘New Khadi of New India’ to new heights.
The KVIC Chairman said that in the last 10 years, KVIC has laid the foundation for building a developed India through the Prime Minister’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan and Vocal for Local campaign.
He further said that in the third term of the Modi government, a roadmap has been prepared to take the ‘New Khadi of New India’ to new heights.
KVIC is working on a plan to strengthen the ‘Khadi Gram Swaraj Abhiyan’ in every village. A complete roadmap has been prepared to take Khadi from local to global.
Khadi Village Industries Commission is also working on various schemes for skill development of artisans.
Through these programs, efforts are being made for success in the field of village industry and employment and in this Silai Samriddhi Yojana for women has been envisaged and is ready for launch.
KVIC has provided employment opportunities to the general public under various programs, which has led to economic improvement in rural and urban areas, while Khadi production has set new records.
The Chairman stated that KVIC is the only organisation which is associated with far-flung villages and is helping in creating social harmony.
Manoj Kumar emphasised that guarantee of Modi Government has made KVIC products popular globally and the ‘New Khadi of New India’ has given a new direction to the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’.
He further informed that there has been an increase of more than 233 percent in the wages of artisans in the last 10 years.
