The Asia Nonwovens Technology Expo 2024 (ANTEX Asia 2024) has officially opened at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Thailand, serving as a premier showcase for the latest nonwoven materials and technologies. Bringing together professionals from Southeast Asia and ASEAN regions, the Expo highlights cutting-edge innovations in the nonwovens sector, aiming to foster new collaborations and connections within the industry.
Hosted locally by the Thailand Textile Institute (THTI) and the Thai Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Trade Association (TNFA), ANTEX Asia 2024 is supported by 19 key industry associations. This significant backing underscores the Expo’s role as a central hub for over 100 exhibitors from 10 countries and regions. Exhibitors are presenting advanced materials, production technologies, equipment, and product designs, offering industry professionals access to innovative solutions and key partnerships essential for business success.
The event’s Opening Ceremony welcomed distinguished representatives, including Mr. Asi Thansathit from The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert from THTI, and Mr. Niwat Lertnimittham from TNFA. Their presence underscored the collaborative efforts driving the nonwovens industry forward, with shared strategies aimed at supporting sustainable growth and competitiveness for Thailand and the wider region.
Mr. Asi Thansathit, Vice President of FTI, emphasized the importance of ANTEX Asia 2024 in advancing Thailand’s industries globally. He noted that the Federation supports initiatives to enhance Thailand’s competitive edge through technology and collaboration, highlighting that this Expo is an essential mechanism for linking knowledge, innovations, and business opportunities, which contribute to sustainable growth in Thailand’s nonwoven and related industries.
Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert, Director of THTI, highlighted ANTEX Asia 2024’s role in establishing international standards and driving the industry toward sustainable growth. He emphasized the Expo’s contribution to the circular economy, which boosts confidence in Thai nonwoven products and strengthens Thailand’s position as a leader in sustainable manufacturing in the ASEAN region, fostering knowledge exchange and regional cooperation.
Mr. Niwat Lertnimittham, President of TNFA, discussed the rapid growth of Asia’s nonwoven industry and its alignment with global trends in healthcare, automotive, and sustainability. He shared that ANTEX Asia 2024 will help position Thailand as a regional hub for the nonwovens industry, promoting economic cooperation, investment attraction, and innovation development, which will benefit Thailand’s economy and workforce.
Grace Mak, Founder of MGT Expo Planning and Management Ltd (MGT), expressed the significance of ANTEX Asia 2024 as a dynamic platform for modern nonwoven technology and innovation. With over 100 exhibitors, she noted, the Expo confirms Thailand’s role as a major hub within the ASEAN nonwovens sector, promoting international collaboration and showcasing the latest industry advancements.
The Expo also features the ANTEX Asia Nonwovens Conference 2024, running concurrently and offering valuable insights from industry experts. Keynote speeches, such as Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert’s “Sustainable Development in Textiles” and Mr. Niwat Lertnimittham’s discussion on “Thailand’s Nonwoven Industry,” provide attendees with an in-depth look at the nonwoven market and its role in economic growth, emphasizing sustainable advancement and industry innovation.
