The bi-annual German style extravaganza Berlin Fashion Week kicked off with arrays of men’s and women’s fall-2015 collections created by an interesting line-up of both local and international talents.
Petter Hollstrom and Gorjan Lauseger, the designer duo behind Stockholm-based Odeur label, showcased a gender defying range comprising monochrome and earthy toned coats worn over sheer white and black coloured shift dresses.
The German-born designer Frida Homann’s label DYN featured draped shawls, impeccably tailored suits, tunics with belted waists and flowing gray coats on the opening day.
Munich-based Laurel displayed an androgyny-inspired line created under the guidance of the brand’s founder and head of design, Elisabeth Schwaige. The collection included cutout detailed gowns, sensuous black lace bustiers, animal print adorned pencil skirts and menswear-styled parkas.
