Pharrell Williams, the artist behind record breaking chartbuster Happy, will be honoured with the Fashion Icon Award at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards, due to be held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York on June one.
The multi-talented American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer and fashion designer has been selected for the accolade due to his unique approach to style that has managed to impact popular culture on a global scale.
This year’s menswear category nominees are designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne (founders of brand Public School), Rag and Bones (Marcus Wainwright and David Neville), Thom Browne (two-times winner of CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year title), Belgian-born New York-based designer Tim Coppens, and the American fashion designer and film director Tom Ford.
