Source India-2016, a global buyers-sellers meet for man-made fabric (MMF) will be held at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC) in Surat from August 13.
Organised by Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council ( SRTEPC ), the two-day event aims at achieving the target of 9 billion US dollar worth of MMF export from India.
The SRTEPC has urged the textile entrepreneurs in city’s MMF sector to participate in the meet in order to get the maximum exposure to the fabrics, yarns and fibres manufactured in Surat.
Council chairman, Anil Rajvanshi said Surat contributes 40 percent of the country’s MMF fabric demand. The buyers from international markets andbig brands in India have been invited at the meet. This is an opportunity to showcase Surat’s prowess to the world, he said.
The SRTEPC has invited over 200 buyers from more than 36 different countries around the world to participate in the first-ever such meet in Surat.
