Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) organized a two-day workshop on ‘Apparel Product-Quality Assurance’ at its Faridabad centre on June 22 & 23 with an aim to upgrade knowledge base and skill levels of personnel of the apparel industry along with ATDC faculty resources.
The chief guest Anu Garg, joint secretary, (skill development) ministry of textiles distributed ISDS certificates to the candidates of ATDC at the event.
The workshop witnessed a panel discussion on the topic “Quality and Compliance for Apparel Industry” participated by eminent personalities in this field.
The purpose was to train the professionals in a manner that they are able to bring improvement in their product line and offer quality products as per the consumer’s demands. There were about 22 participants including 18 Industry professionals from leading brands like Black Berry, Pearl Academy, Neetee Clothing, Mohan Trading, etc.
Speaking on the occasion Garg said, “The textile policy announced yesterday was a longstanding demand of the industry. It is expected to create one crore jobs in the next three years, that means there would be a huge requirement of skilled labour. She appreciated the training programme organised by ATDC to meet such requirement.
Darlie Koshy, DG & CEO, ATDC pointed out “Advanced and customized training programmes of ATDC-TOT Academics have been widely appreciated by leading domestic and international apparel brands like Zara etc. which have made use of the Centre’s customized training programmes.”
