South India Garment Fair is being organized in 21st successive year at Kalinga, Hotel Lalit Ashok, Kumara Krupa Road, Bangalore on 22nd & 23rd July 2016.
Apparel manufacturers not only from Bangalore but from all over the country are participating in the event by showcasing their product. Men, women & children garments in traditional wear, formal & casual wear, men & women ethnic wear & wedding collections, while women traditional & western wear, sports & active wears as well as accessories are on display for retailers for forth coming wedding & festive season.
Celebrated as ‘The Fashion Festival’ South India Garment Fair contributes to Karnataka garment manufacturing & trading. South India Garment fair is organised every year to promote the garment manufacturers in the region. It helps the new manufacturers to create space in the market as told by Anurag Singhla, convener of the Show.
Garment retail traders from all over the southern states are regular visiting delegates to the fair. In recent years dealers from northern & eastern state have also started visiting the fair for update of fashion & complete their requirements for the festive season. Fashion festival is B2B event to promote garment trade and manufacturing in the state expecting 1400 retail buyers to visit generating business to the tunes of rupees ten crores approximately.
Bangalore has emerged as a largest manufacturer hub and created a pioneer position in men’s wear manufacturing. Most of the men’s domestic & international Formal & Casual brands are being manufactured in Bangalore.
International companies source the casual clothing from Bangalore while some of the international brands have setup their centers in Bangalore. Indian garment industry is largest employment generating industry at par with agriculture to the common man.
