Bodh, the store reopens its door in Kolkata as a one- stop wedding solution with bridal wear, menswear and accessories, all under one roof. The 2,200 sq. ft. store is variety fused with great design at an affordable price. It brings you the latest trends to celebrate life in all of its avatars. The re-launch party was hosted by Tina Nobis, wife of Ranajit Nobis, honorary consul of Sweden at Bodh.
Located at 93 Park Street, Bodh will feature bridal collection by Latika Dhawan, menswear by Dhruv Sehgal and pret line from Trupsel, Mumbai. Latika Dhawan is passionate about designing and has lived her passion for more than two decades. In these 25 years her label has grown from her home grown label to a flourishing designer label. Her designs include fine craftsmanship with intricate detailing, antique embroideries, and weaves. Her style is exclusive yet connected to the Indian roots, with variety in her collection, embellished with exquisite works from across India. Her work majorly includes zardozi, gota and appliqué work on silk, khadi or velvet. A signature Latika Dhawan piece will always be a keepsake that satiates stylish modern Indian woman.
With no specialized or formal training Latika Dhawan has carved a niche for her brand. “I have been designing Indian ethnic wear for quite some time and now I am launching a whole new Bridal Wear Collection. It will include lehengas, shararas, gowns and the pret line will include lighter version of the same. Wedding is the most memorable day in a bride’s life and this collection would give it a special feel,” Dhawan said.
What started off as a hobby for Latika Dhawan in a small city of Vizag has now turned into her passion. She has a good clientele in Bangkok and regularly holds exhibition in Delhi, Bombay, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Bangkok. Her collection is also available at Studio 8 in Dubai.
