One of the leading garment manufacturing units of India, Orient Craft has proposed to set up its manufacturing unit in the Jharkhand state. The representatives of the company met chief minister Raghubar Das and top bureaucrats of the state and expressed interest in starting the manufacturing unit which is going to be the 22nd one in the country.
“Jharkhand has immense prospects in textile sector, which could create employment opportunities. People of the state could be attracted to this sector with the government helping the textile companies evincing interest in setting up industries,” Das said.
As per the decision, the company would set up an apparel unit in Ranchi and would begin construction from March 2017 and also assist in constructing Textile Park in Jharkhand.
“The company would help train the youth in the villages for employment with main focus being on districts where more migration take place,” Das added.
Now, Orient Craft which specializes in manufacturing sports garments has the capability to manufacture 2 lakh units per day.
