Arvind Lifestyle Brands, a subsidiary of textiles major Arvind, has announced its plan to tie up with leading US brand ‘The Children’s Place’ (TCP) with an investment of Rs 100 crore, according to a report.
The company’s decision comes after taking into account the growing importance of the Rs 50,000-crore kidswear segment in the country and the company’s efforts to take pole position in the segment.
TCP is a leading children’s specialty retailer which supplies fashionable, high-quality merchandise at value prices. It has total revenues of 1.8 billion US Dollar.
Arvind Lifestyle Brands plans to open around 32 to 40 outlets in the country within a five-year period across 15 to 20 towns.
The US kidswear brand offers products in the age group of 0 to 14 years across categories like apparel, footwear, and accessories for boys, girls, and newborns.
