The high level of intense competition in modern world has brought emphasis based on ‘soft and life skills’ not only for professional careers but also for personal advancement, Shalini Sharma, Principal, Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) Gurgaon said, while addressing the Life and Soft-skills workshop conducted by the team of 25 Deloitte professionals here. More than 150 students of ATDC Gurgaon, Rohini, Dilshad Garden centres attended the timely workshop.
“To get a winning edge over competitors, people are left with no choice but to add value to their hard skills with soft skills to realize one’s true potential. Keeping the need of the hour in mind, ATDC, India’s largest vocational training provider for the apparel sector, organized this special workshop on ‘Interpersonal & Soft Skills’ for the students,” she said.
The highlights of the workshop were time management, interpersonal skills, resume preparation and interview skills under their counselor thread.
“Students learnt and practiced to make their curriculum vitae and prepared them to face an interview and interaction improvement. By the end of workshop session, we became confident and enthusiastic to face future interviews and day-to-day interaction,” Sharma added.
