Indian fashion designer Archana Kochhar presented a women’s traditional wear collection that celebrated heritage weaves from across India at the Grand Finale of Delhi Times Fashion Week.
Actress Chitrangada Singh stole the show as she walked the ramp for celebrated designer at the Grand Finale.
The much-anticipated event featured Kochhar’s latest collection, which pays homage to the timeless grace of Indian weaves and their varied adaptations.
The collection included sarees and lehengas in a variety of bright and delicate hues from the eponymous name label of the designer.
Models walked the runway in hues of tangerine, plum, and magenta in full lehengas with gold and glittering details. A few menswear looks also featured in ivory with classic tailoring.
“Archana Kochhar’s collection which pays homage to the timeless grace of Indian weaves and the different adaptations of these silhouettes,” a statement announced
“The collection uses hand woven brocade weaves from Varanasi, handicraft mirror work embroidery from the Kutch district, hand loom Jamdani fabrics and the tie dye Bandhani technique,” it added.
The fashion designer is known for her traditional style luxury occasion and bridal wear with heavy embellishments.
Known for her innovative approach and dedication to promoting Indian crafts, Archana Kochhar has graced both national and international runways with her stunning creations.
Her impressive portfolio includes being the Official Fashion Designer for the 71st Miss World Festival, a prestigious event that returns to India after 28 years.
