Actress Deepika Padukone has launched a new fusionwear line inspired from the styling of her on-screen character at the recent movie “Piku”, yet to be released.
According to media reports, the easy to wear Piku Melange Collection has drawn inspiration from the actress’ carefree yet modern-meets-traditional fashion wardrobe in the upcoming comedy-drama film.
Part of Lifestyle’s Melange brand, the womenswear range features an array of comfortable Indian motifs adorned and colour block detailed kurtas in breezy summery fabrics, straight pants and palazzos with lace hems, as well as printed scarves.
Releasing on May 8, 2015, Piku is a story of a young architect and her relationship with her ageing father played by Amitabh Bachchan.
