Duke Fashions, an Udaipur based apparel brand, received the ‘Make in India: National Productivity & Innovation Award’ in the textile and garment sector for the year 2014-15 at the NPI award ceremony, held in New Delhi last week, a company release said.
Duke was the first to get an award in the textile category out of the total 51 awards given in six sectors. The award was presented by the union minister of micro, small and medium enterprises, Kalraj Mishra to Aman Jain of Duke Fashions.
On receiving the award, Komal Kumar Jain, chairman of Duke Fashions said, “I express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable contribution and cooperation of our channel partners, colleagues and employees who have been our consistent source of inspiration in helping us achieve our business results and deliver best-in-class and qualitative products to local and global markets.”
“Our products are cost competitive and affordable to common people. We plan for an even larger growth in the innovation and production ahead,” he added.
Make in India award acts as a morale booster and catalyst for Duke to strive hard to achieve even higher levels of productivity and innovation, and to become active partners in the ‘Make in India’ campaign of the government, the release said.
