Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show 2015 (GTTES), which ended in Mumbai on January 22 focused on post spinning sectors and attracted 282 exhibitors from India and abroad. Participants from 12 countries and visitors from 21 countries marked the event as the largest textile technology event in the country, according to organiser sources.
The three-day event was visited by high-level government delegations, delegates from Sri Lanka, Ethiopia and Korea as well as textiles and heavy industry departments of the centre.
Additional chief secretory (textile) of Maharashtra government, Mr. Sunil Porwal on his visit to the exhibition site said “I’m happy to see that GTTES 2015 visitors representing all segment of the manufacturing chain from India and China and many others have converged at the venue creating new opportunities for the state and the country”. Exhibitors expressed their satisfaction at the quality of the exhibition, event management and volume of business visitors.
Ambassadors and Consul General from 17 countries also went round the exhibition highlighting the importance of India in textile sector and the interest generated internationally by such major event.
