The three-day-long 39th edition of India Knit Fair, which concluded at Tirupur yesterday has generated business enquiries worth Rs 275 crore from overseas buyers and agents.
The buyers and buying agents have expressed happiness and satisfaction with the excellent design and collections displayed in the fair, which began on October 8, Chairman of India Knit Fair Associaton (IKFA) A Shaktivel said in a release today.
In total, 25 buyers and 159 buying houses and agents from countries like Norway, Japan, UK, UAE, USA, Denmark, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia, and Hong Kong, visited the fair he said.
The Fair, Winter/Mid-Summer Collection 2015, was organised by Apparel Export Promotion Council in collaboration with Tirupur Exporters’ Association, under the umbrella of IKFA.
An array of apparel for the 2015 season were showcased, which included men, women, and children wears for all age groups.
As many as 49 leading exporters from Tirupur, Chennai, Madurai, Bhopal, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Rajkot, New Delhi and Gurgaon had put up their stalls in the fair.
