Indian designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock will be showcasing a specially created line of 40 couture gowns at the first Cannes Fashion Festival, began in France from May 20.
The duo will display a collection that treads the delicate path between fantasy and reality. Their excellent use of artisan technique, never more apparent than in couture, showcases the sheer brilliance of embroidery and embellishment.
Falguni and Shane Peacock describe the collection as “a timelessly elegant one offering a selection of delicious cocktail gowns with glitter detailing, elegant silhouettes and in a combination of pastel colours.”
Signifying the journey travelled in time, the collection includes floor length dresses constructed with long slits along with a beautiful amalgamation of pastel hues, lace, crystal and the designer duo’s love for romance.
Two of the pieces from the collection will be auctioned, proceeds of which will be given to the Mandela Foundation, according to them.
The three-day Cannes Fashion Festival will be streamed live online to a worldwide audience, with a lineup of stunning runway shows and glamorous events.
The Peacock label is a couture and luxury resort brand that is fast expanding and catering to ever busy international fashionista seeking stylish and multi-functional outfits.
