Rupa & Company Limited, one of the largest knitwear brands in the country, was conferred with a Special Cover Envelope & My Stamp by the Indian Postal Department on completion of 50 glorious years in the industry. This honour was received by Shri P.R. Agarwala, Chairman, Shri G.P. Agarwala, Vice Chairman and Shri K.B. Agarwala, Managing Director, Rupa & Company Limited on behalf of Rupa. It is the only hosiery brand from Kolkata to be conferred with this honor.
Rupa began its journey 50 years ago from Kolkata. It now has a Pan India presence with a strong hold in cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Ranchi, with plans to expand abroad. They already export to the Middle East, South Africa & Nigeria. Plans are afloat to take the RUPA brand to Southeast Asia and launch its products in Bangladesh. Plans of expanding Rupa’s base to Dubai is also in the process.
