Kenzo, a French luxury house unveiling La Collection Memento which delves into the house’s rich history and storied archives. The iconic Britney Spears featuring a denim-on-denim look photographed by Peter Lindbergh for the new KENZO campaign.
La Collection Memento N°2 focuses heavily on denim and was inspired by the 1986 Paris runway debut of KENZO Jeans. But a more esoteric theme is “Icons”, the KENZO motifs are all featured heavily in the project, alongside Britney Spears.
“I was really flattered when KENZO approached me to be the face of their 50thAnniversary. I love the brand, and with Denim being a big part of this collection, it made it that much more appealing to me since Denim is such a part of my own style,” an iconic singer said.
In the history of the brand, the memento tiger is one of the first icons Kenzo Takada developed in the ‘70s.
“Britney is certainly an icon and the quintessential queen of denim. Of similar stature in the photo world is Peter Lindbergh, who ignited the age of the supermodel”, the company sources said.
Lindbergh captured Britney in all her American Dream glory and beauty. Shot in Los Angeles, the campaign is a bit cheeky, optimistic, and joyous.
In the campaign which bows in titles and online across the globe, Britney Spears can be seen wearing pieces from KENZO – La Collection Memento N°2. Creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon treat the vaults like a jumping off point.
