Spanish clothing and accessories retailer, Zara has inaugurated its standalone high-street store in South Mumbai. The store, spreading over 51,300 square feet area, is housed in a 110-year-old heritage building.
The fashion brand will also launch its online segment. “We expect to launch online sales in India by the end of the year. Asia is among our fastest growing markets, and we will continue to grow in India at the pace we have done so far,” Zara sources said.
Currently the brand operates 21 stores in eight Indian cities and plans to open 2 to 3 stores a year.
