Ace designer Manish Malhotra will bring down the curtains on the Amazon India Couture Week 2015 on August Two, with a vivacious closing show, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) said in a statement.
Known for his gorgeous rendition of the most coveted trends, his couture collection will be a celebration of intricate craftsmanship and admiration for traditional hues.
FDCI president Sunil Sethi said, “We are delighted to announce that India’s most popular designer Manish Malhotra, who has the biggest brand recall amongst GenNext, will be adding an interesting third dimension to the Amazon India Couture Week 2015. It’s a privilege to continue this association with him, as we endeavour to make Indian fashion leapfrog to a resounding success. His magical drapes and captivating cuts will add perfection to a week of pure indulgence.”
For over 25 years now, Malhotra has added sparkle to wardrobes of leading Bollywood actresses’ with his dazzling collections, the statement said. Best known for his bridal wear, strong sense of colour and revival of the crafts sector, Manish’s dedication to his aesthetics has catapulted him to fame.
Meanwhile, designer Rohit Bal is set to create a world of fantasy on the runway of the event at an off-site show. Another dimension is the incredibly talented Rahul Mishra as he makes his debut at the show, FDCI said.
The five-day event will be held at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi from July 29.
