Puma, German sportswear and lifestyle brand have appointed Indian Olympic six-time gold medallist Champion Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmangte famously known as MC Mary Kom as its brand ambassador. Puma has signed a two-year deal with Mary who will be the face of women’s training category, company sources said.
Indian boxing heavyweight Mary Kom said, “Puma as a brand has always believed in supporting and encouraging women, which made it a perfect fit for me. Being a woman and a mother I have faced several challenges that I have powered through, thanks to my family and team.”
Puma earlier signed Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli to a 10-year deal, named Mary Kom as their brand ambassador in women’s sportswear and help them promote their brand all over the country.
