The Odisha government gave project approval letters to setting up of seven garment manufacturing units which will be set up in the apparel and garment cluster of Khurda.
According to the Odisha government, these investors were attracted by its conducive business environment, stable government, swift approvals, and seamless land allotment process.
“With one of the best incentive structure for textiles, clothing, and technical textile factories, Odisha has emerged as a thriving hub for textile investment,” the government added in a press release.
The overall project cost of these seven units totals to Rs. 378.98 crore and has the potential to create employment opportunities for 18,620 people.
“These investments signify a significant step towards realizing the full potential of the textile and garment industry in the state,” the press release stated.
Approval letters were presented to Golden Seams Industries, Fine Lines, BL International, Meenu Creation, Pooja International, Sonu Exim, and Rainbow Fabart.
The Minister of Industries, MSME, and Energy of Odisha, Pratap Keshari Deb reiterated the state government’s dedication towards promoting industrialization and facilitating business expansion.
