Gen Z-centric fashion startup OUTZIDR has raised Rs. 30 crore (approximately $3.5 million) in a seed funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from a network of angel investors including Ramakant Sharma (Livspace) and Ghazal Alagh (Mamaearth). The funding underscores growing investor interest in agile, youth-focused fashion brands that are reshaping the retail landscape in India.
Launched in early 2024, OUTZIDR was founded by industry veterans Nirmal Jain, Mani Kant Mani, and Justin Mario—a team with deep experience in fashion, supply chain, and digital retail. Jain, formerly CEO of Dubai-based fast-fashion brand Styli and co-founder of Increff, brings a strong track record in building scale in fashion retail. Mani previously led omnichannel strategy at Max Fashion, while Mario has held senior supply chain roles at Aymakan and Styli.
OUTZIDR caters to women aged 17 to 27, offering contemporary westernwear and occasion-specific outfits—ranging from party looks to vacation-ready pieces. Since launching operations in February 2025, the brand has quickly expanded its footprint through both its own D2C platform and key marketplaces such as Myntra, Nykaa Fashion, and AJIO.
With a team of just 22 employees, the Bengaluru-based startup runs on a hybrid manufacturing model, sourcing from nearly 30 Indian factories and select international partners. OUTZIDR plans to use the fresh funding to enhance its tech infrastructure, strengthen inventory and product workflows, and build a stronger brand presence.
At the core of OUTZIDR’s strategy is a “test-and-react” model—launching small batches, analyzing early demand, and rapidly scaling bestsellers. This enables the brand to operate on a three-week inventory cycle, bringing fresh, relevant fashion to market faster than many traditional players. OUTZIDR has already launched over 3,000 styles, with nearly 2,000 new designs added monthly.
The company also plans to localize 90% of its production within India over the next two years, aiming to build a more sustainable and responsive supply chain.
“OUTZIDR has nailed the formula for rapid, data-driven fashion,” said Mayank Jain, Principal at Stellaris. “They understand their audience, react fast to trends, and have a strong founder-market fit—exactly what’s needed to succeed in this space.”
With its unique model, lean execution, and sharp Gen Z focus, OUTZIDR is positioning itself as a key contender in India’s evolving D2C fashion arena.
