In a bid to spread a word about environment conservation, Pratibha Syntex Limited (PSL), a sustainability-oriented textile conglomerate, organized a number of campaigns, in the campus on Wednesday.
Celebrating World Environment Day, PSL employees planted a large number Neem, Peepal and blackberry saplings within the premises. On the occasion, an in-house team video recorded interviews of many employees to compile a short film on environment conservation. The film will be used to generate awareness about environment protection. During this video interview, the employees resolved to conserve the environment and shared their own methods for environment protection.
Mr. Amrit Pal Singh Chhabra, General Manager Engineering, who himself is a sustainability enthusiast, said “We should take a resolution to protect our nature to conserve it for future generations. There is a dire need that each one should contribute to environment conservation. And it can be started by taking small steps like shunning the use of plastic bags in our daily life.”
Among the series of activities held on the campus, a painting competition was also organized on environment theme, wherein female associates participated in large numbers. Besides, to encourage employees to conserve water, a session on the water conservation was organized on the premises. Around 200 people, including employees and their family members, residing in the campus quarters, participated in it.
