Union minister of states for skill development and entrepreneurship, Rajiv Pratap Rudy today launched Mukhyamantri Koshal Samvardhan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Koshailya Yojana in Madhya Pradesh in presence of the state’s chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
Launched under MP Skill Mission, the schemes will have the provision to train three lakh youths every year.
Chief minister, on the occasion said skill development is the need of the hour which will make the country’s huge population further strengthen. An memorandum of understanding (MoU) has also been signed at the venue with Singapore to launch a global skill centre in Bhopal, he said.
Another MoU was also signed between Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development Mission (MPSSDM) and Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) in presence of the chief minister. MoU is aimed at imparting employment oriented training and encouraging entrepreneurship through skill development to the youth. Under this, ATDC will train 10,000 youth every year.
Madhya Pradesh has natural requirement of skilled manpower for garment and textile industries. To fulfill the objective, ATDC has setup its training centres at different locations of the state. On the occasion, the programme ‘Rozgar ki Padhai, Chale ITI,’ was also launched to attract youth towards skill development.
