The Apparel, Made ups and Home Furnishing Skill Sector Council (AMHSSC) will sign two MoUs with Canadian institutions during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to that country, part of his ongoing three-nation tour.
AMHSSC will sign memorandum of understanding (MoUs) with Fanshawe College, Ottawa, a leading institution in fashion and apparel technology, and Canada India Education Council, in the presence of Modi and his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper, tomorrow.
The MoUs would ensure availability of more trainers in the skill sector and improve the quality of training, ultimately leaving a positive impact on the number and quality of manpower for these sectors, AMHSSC chairman, A Sakthivel said in a statement.
The MoU with Fanshawe College is aimed at greater cooperation between the Canadian partner and AMHSSC in the field of training of trainers and also enriching the Indian expertise on the skill front in the apparel sector.
