Independent third party testing company Texanlab will open a Textile Testing Laboratory in knitwear town of Tirupur in Tamil Nadu next month.
Texanlab already has its textile testing laboratories at Gurgaon, Mumbai and Salem, and with the opening of the laboratory in Tirupur, it will cover all key textile locations in India.
The new laboratory in Tirupur will have full capability for physical and colour fastness testing to cover the requirements of European and US customers, Texanlab said in a statement.
Explaining the rationale behind opening of a new laboratory in Tirupur, Vinod Kumar, general manager of Texan Labs India, said, “This move has come from long pending demand of our clients in southern India market and a push from global retailers with whom Texanlab has long term business.”
One of India’s oldest third-party testing company, Texanlab tests wide range of products, including dyes, yarn, apparel, home textiles, and accessories.
