UK fashion label ‘Karen Millen’ is making plans for an India entry. Born and bred in England, the clothing, shoes and accessories label has given the mandate to explore a master franchisee for this market to Franchise India Holdings.
The brand is planning to set up over a dozen retail stores in the country over the next three years.
“We are almost on the verge of finalizing the master franchisee for India,” Gaurav Marya, chairman of Franchise India Holdings said. His company helps brands and businesses to explore and execute business plans in India. Karen Millen has stores in over 65 countries across six continents including flagship stores in London’s Knightsbridge and New York’s Fifth Avenue.
Experts feel that bridge-to-luxury brands break even faster than luxury brands because they cater to a much larger customer base.
