VTG 2017 – The 17th edition of Vietnam International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition and Vietnam International Textile & Apparel Accessories Exhibition will run in tandem on November 22-25 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The event is officially organized by Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD) and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd. (YORKERS), and co-organized by Guangdong Sewing Equipment Chamber Commerce (GDSEWING), Hong Kong Apparel Machinery Association (HKAMA), and Paper Communication Exhibition Services (PAPERCOM). It has also won robust supports from both the government and industrial sectors.
Vietnam attracted 21.93 billion US Dollar in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the first seven months of 2017, shooting up 52 per cent from the same period of 2016, for the highest annual growth rate of its kind since 2011, according to the latest statistics released by the Foreign Investment Agency. In terms of export performance, Vietnam’s textile and garment sectors scored 14.58 billion US Dollar in outbound shipments in the first six months of the year, representing a significant annual increase of 11.3 per cent.
The event highlights the complete value chains for textile and garment sectors, covering Textile and Apparel Processing Machines, Accessories, Fibers, Filament, Yarn and Fabrics, with as many as 400 exhibitors gathering under one roof to showcase the state-of-the-art machines and solutions catering to Vietnam’s market needs. Among main exhibits are a variety of sewing machines, such as 4-thread super high speed overlock sewing machine with auto trimmer from China’s leading supplier TYPICAL, and high-end computerized industrial sewing machine from HIKARI, one of the world’s largest manufacturers in the line.
Eminent speakers from powerful industry associations and featured exhibitors will gather at VTG to share valuable advices through such topics as How Vietnam prepares for FTA, The impact of the 4.0 industrial revolution, An Overlook of Today’s industry from fiber to textile in Vietnam, and How to keep staying ahead in the market with the needs of the changing times. Lecturers confirming their presence in the seminars include those from Export Import Department – Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), Association of Vietnam Cotton & Spinning Association (VCOSA), and Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITSA).
