Cape Wools, the official representative body of the South African wool industry has said that the achievements and outcomes of ‘Wool Week Cape Town 2015’, which took place earlier this month in Cape Town, were encouraging.
“We believe that this year’s event was in line with Wool Week events which have taken place in major cities such as London, Oslo and Madrid since 2010”, Louis De Beer, Cape Wools CEO said.
The event showcased contemporary ideas, new creations and the infinite possibilities of wool for home decoration, fashion, arts, crafts and architecture. Wool Week is one of several initiatives for the Campaign for Wool, a global event founded by the Prince of Wales.
The feedback from retailers, designers and exhibitors including the wool industry participants was positive, De Beer added.
